N #2: The Perfect Wedding Band

Here’s a link for more information on Malay wedding customs. And another here.

We both however planned to have a simpler process compared to the normal custom. And, for the ‘hantar tanda’ ceremony, he wanted to buy a ring to for me. So we start together the search of the first ring, for the preliminary ‘hantar tanda’ stage before our wedding.

The simple gold wedding band, or also known as ‘cincin belah rotan’ is enough for the purpose of the ceremony, and it happens to be a favorite of mine. I simple adore it because of its simplicity, and yet it looks sweet. It’s a common type of ring, so we expect it to be easy.

N #1: Our Wedding Date

Today we have finalized the plan and important dates for our wedding.

When his parents came to my father’s house the other day for ‘risik’, our families asked us when is the date, and that’s when we realized that, although we know we want it to be within this one year, we actually have no clue about which date we want it to be our wedding date.

With Lve.

In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate.

Today is the day I started this blog.

Why? I guess it’s a trend for brides nowadays, including Malaysian brides. I’ve browsed thru a lot of blogs before opening one up, and I am just overwhelmed with the close knit network and support the future brides, and past-brides, give each other. Not to mention boutique owners and wedding planners too!

However, that actually was not the important reason why this blog happen.
